This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") describes prohibited conduct and content on fileNXT ("fileNXT", "we", "us", "our"). It applies to all users of the Service, including request Owners and Uploaders. This AUP is incorporated into the fileNXT Terms of Service.

1. Purpose

fileNXT is built to help people collect and share files safely. To protect users, the public, and the platform, we prohibit certain uses and content. If you violate this AUP, we may remove content, restrict links, suspend accounts, or take other action as described below.

2. Your Responsibilities

You are responsible for how you use fileNXT, including the file requests you create, the links you share, and any files you upload or collect.

Owners must have a lawful basis to request and collect files from Uploaders, and should provide Uploaders with any notices required by applicable laws (including data protection laws).

Uploaders must only upload content they have the right to share.

3. Prohibited Content

You may not use fileNXT to upload, request, store, transmit, or share content that:

  • Is illegal or promotes illegal activity.
  • Infringes intellectual property or other rights (copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity).
  • Is harmful or abusive, including harassment, threats, or hate content.
  • Contains malware, exploits, or is designed to compromise systems or data.
  • Is fraudulent or deceptive, including scams, impersonation, or phishing content.
  • Violates privacy, including unauthorised sharing of personal or confidential information.
  • Is sexually exploitative, including any content involving minors.

Important

fileNXT is not a platform for distributing harmful files or content. If we detect or receive reports of content that may violate this AUP, we may restrict access to the request link or content while we review.

4. Prohibited Behaviour

You may not:

  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to accounts, requests, systems, or networks.
  • Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service without written authorisation.
  • Bypass limits, access controls, or security mechanisms.
  • Use automated means (bots/scripts) to create, access, or upload at a rate that degrades the Service.
  • Distribute spam, unsolicited messages, or misleading links using fileNXT.
  • Reverse engineer, copy, or resell the Service except as permitted by law.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service, including denial-of-service attempts.

5. Reporting Abuse

If you believe content or activity on fileNXT violates this AUP, please report it to: abuse@filenxt.com (or use your preferred support email).

Please include any relevant request link, timestamps, and details that help us investigate.

6. Enforcement

We may take action if we reasonably believe you have violated this AUP or applicable law. Actions may include:

  • Removing or restricting access to content or request links
  • Suspending or terminating accounts
  • Blocking uploads or access from certain sources
  • Preserving evidence and cooperating with lawful requests

We may take immediate action where required to protect users, prevent abuse, or comply with law.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this AUP from time to time. When we do, we will update the Effective Date. Continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated AUP.
